About Auckland's data

Cityloom shows Auckland's buses, trains and ferries line by line, from Auckland Transport's open data.

Why do ferries show a count and not a percentage?

Auckland Transport's live feed doesn't report ferry delays once a ferry has left, so Cityloom counts the ferries running but can't say whether they're on time. Source: Auckland Transport realtime API.

Where does the data come from?

Auckland Transport publishes live and timetable data. Cityloom combines it with what it measures from vehicle positions over time.

Is Cityloom run by a transport agency?

No. Cityloom is independent. It uses the agencies' open data but isn't endorsed by them.

What does "not tracked" mean?

The service is in the timetable but no vehicle is reporting where it is. It may still turn up, but often it doesn't.
