Cityloom is built so we don't need to know who you are.

The website. If you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the city and phone type you picked and the date you signed up, and a scrambled form of your IP address for one day, to stop spam. We use your email, city and phone type to email you when Cityloom launches in your city and about major updates. We store them with Cloudflare. We don't sell or share them, and we don't use advertising trackers on this site.

The app. The app doesn't ask for your name, email or phone number. It makes a random key on your phone so it can share the service fairly between users. Trip check-ins and reports are only shared if you turn sharing on, and then only as anonymous totals, never as one person's journey. We never show where an individual is.

Your rights. Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. If you're not happy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
